Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Risk Control Associate Specialist, Property to support risk engineering activities across the region. You will regularly consult onsite with customers, assist underwriting and claims as needed, and help deliver specialized technical solutions to manage lower complexity risks.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a science discipline and 3+ years in engineering or fire protection, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or a science discipline.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 3+ years of engineering or fire protection industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent field presence, spending 20–50% of time with customers onsite or virtually.
• Assist risk evaluations and identify exposures, loss controls, and opportunities for improved risk management.
• Educate customers on how to better manage risk and influence them to adopt recommendations.
• Support development of training programs for field consultants by researching emerging issues and loss trends in claim data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
