Job summary

Markel Group is seeking a senior Executive Risk Solution Specialist to support loss control and risk engineering across property, inland marine, and ocean marine lines. The role emphasizes building relationships with underwriting and other stakeholders while delivering on-site and remote risk assessments.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years in property/im & ocean marine loss control, strong NFPA/IBC knowledge, and the ability to write clear, technical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Risk Management, Fire Sciences preferred.
• Recognized relevant certifications (P.E., CSP, ARM, CFPS) or willingness to pursue preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Underwriting to select, retain and grow a profitable book of business.
• Develop risk control reports and guidelines to support growth.
• Serve as subject matter expert in inland marine/property risk.
• Perform on-site, virtual and desktop risk assessments for complex accounts.
• Write detailed risk reports with actionable recommendations.
• Deliver technical training to team members and underwriters.
