Job summary

Markel is seeking an Executive Risk Solution Specialist to support loss control, property, inland marine, and ocean marine risk control for diverse accounts. The role requires senior-level technical expertise and collaboration with underwriting and brokers to identify exposures and recommend controls.

The position involves on-site, virtual, and desktop assessments, plus training delivery and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6+ years Property, Inland Marine & Ocean Marine loss control/risk management experience.
• NFPA/FM/IBC knowledge and risk control standards proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site, virtual and desktop risk assessments for Property, Inland Marine & Ocean Marine accounts.
• Write detailed risk assessment reports with actionable recommendations.
• Develop and maintain risk control guidelines and documents.
• Deliver technical training to team members and underwriters.
• Travel approximately 25% to support assessments and initiatives.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, RSS and brokers.
