Job summary

Markel is seeking an Executive Risk Solution Specialist in Milwaukee, WI to support loss control, risk engineering for property, inland marine, and ocean marine accounts. You will partner with Underwriting, Claims and Brokers to protect the book of business.

Responsibilities include on-site, virtual and desktop risk assessments, risk analysis, and reporting with guidance on standards such as NFPA, FM Global and IBC. Travel approx. 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Engineering, Risk Management or Fire Sciences preferred.
• Relevant certifications (P.E., CSP, ARM, CFPS) or willingness to pursue preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert in inland marine/property risk.
• Complete on-site, virtual and desktop risk assessments for various accounts.
• Identify exposures and communicate controls to reduce loss likelihood.
• Write detailed risk assessment reports and recommendations.
• Provide risk control training and collaborate on special projects.
