Job summary

Markel Group seeks an Executive Risk Solution Specialist to join our Loss Control team. This senior role supports loss control and risk engineering for property, inland marine, and ocean marine lines, partnering with underwriting, claims, and brokers to protect clients and grow business.

You will perform risk assessments (onsite/virtual), write detailed reports with recommendations, develop guidelines, and train others. Travel ~25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Engineering, Risk Management preferred.
• Certifications such as P.E., CSP, ARM, CFPS or willingness to pursue preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain risk control guidelines for teams.
• Complete on-site, virtual, and desktop risk assessments for Property, IM, Ocean Marine accounts.
• Write technically detailed reports with clear recommendations.
• Provide training to team members and underwriters as appropriate.
• Collaborate on special projects benefiting loss control and organization.
• Travel approximately 25% to support workload and initiatives.
