Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building and common areas meet safety and quality standards. Duties include diagnosing defects, completing work orders, and performing make-ready tasks for vacant units.

Responsibilities cover inventory control, documentation, and assisting in property upkeep. The role requires the ability to work outdoors in all weather and to flex schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications Type 1 & II or Universal required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.
• State and local certification requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance on the property according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Completes the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch lists, and scheduling as needed.
• Maintains inventory and coordinates materials with the maintenance supervisor; records usage and re-orders as needed.
• Documents service requests accurately to ensure proper tracking and reporting.
• Supports grounds, cleaning, and minor repairs; assists in ensuring safety and quality across common areas.

Education

EPA Type 1 & II or Universal refrigerant certifications

Valid driver’s license
