Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform maintenance and make-ready work across our property portfolio. You will diagnose defects, complete work orders, and ensure buildings, grounds, and amenities meet safety and quality standards.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Experience in preventive maintenance, knowledge of safety regulations, and EPA refrigerant certifications are valued.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling
• State and local jurisdiction certifications as required
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and obtaining supplies.
• Follows material access procedures, tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor for reorders.
• Documents service requests timely and accurately for proper tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs, and pressure-washing as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using tools correctly.
• Assists in property inspections to identify safety risks and communicates needs to management.
• Performs routine inspections to identify safety concerns and maintain property in good repair.
