Job summary

Royal American Companies is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to oversee preservation and upkeep of multifamily properties under direct supervision. You will operate within OSHA standards and the company’s safety policies, maintaining records and ensuring timely repairs.

The role requires strong attendance, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the on-site maintenance team managingHVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and general preventive maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have EPA certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire/promotion.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Formal training or experience in carpentry, light plumbing, light electrical, painting, refurnishing and cleaning, and air conditioning.

Responsibilities

• Follow OSHA standards and company safety policy.
• Complete safety training as required by law and company policy.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on units and common areas.
• Keep accurate records of work orders, inspections and inventories.
• Inspect equipment and grounds, and report unusual conditions.
• Provide training to colleagues from other communities when appropriate.
