Job summary

UDR is seeking a Senior Service Manager to oversee the maintenance, inspections, and repairs across Eleven55 Ripley and 1200 East West. This role leads the service team, manages budgets, coordinates vendors, and ensures safety and quality standards across the community.

The position requires oversight of daily tasks, timely turnover of vacated apartments, and adherence to company policies, OSHA guidelines, and Fair Housing laws.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ experience in building and mechanical maintenance.
• Minimum of three years’ experience supervising/managing associates.
• EPA Type II certification required.
• High rise communities may require HVAC/cooling towers and boiler systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance requests and ensure service completion within budget.
• Lead and develop the service team; interview and train staff.
• Schedule and supervise contractors; manage preventive maintenance.
• Inspect grounds, amenities, and building exteriors to standards.
• Ensure safety, OSHA compliance, and Fair Housing guidelines.
• Manage key systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, and appliances.
