Job summary

UDR is seeking a multi-site Service Manager for the DC area, overseeing inspection, maintenance, and repair across 463 units. Responsibilities include leading daily tasks, ensuring properties meet standards, safety, and budget goals, and coordinating HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, and other systems.

You will supervise, schedule turnovers, manage vendor relationships, and uphold OSHA and fair housing standards while delivering superior service to residents and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years in building/mechanical maintenance.
• EPA Type II certification required; pool certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate tools.
• Experience supervising staff preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and complete resident service and maintenance requests.
• Meet the service budget and manage financial resources.
• Lead service team including interviewing, orientation, training.
• Review and approve Kronos timekeeping records for direct reports.
• Manage and schedule service to maintain appearance, safety, and compliance.
• Oversee pest control and pool/equipment safety.
• Coordinate vendor turns and quality assurance for make-readies.
