Job summary

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee property upkeep, troubleshoot repairs, and deliver exceptional resident service across our portfolio. You will prioritize work orders and coordinate with the property management team to keep units ready for inspections.

Responsibilities include ensuring UPCS-compliant repairs, implementing preventive maintenance plans, maintaining accurate records, and guiding a team to meet safety standards and budget

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; vocational certification preferred.
• 5 years of experience in building maintenance or construction; trades license preferred.
• Ability to read shop drawings, schematics and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Reviews incoming work orders to prioritize and address promptly.
• Decide to repair or replace damaged property.
• Estimate time and materials for repairs.
• Coordinate with property management to ensure inventory and supplies meet needs.
• Ensure units are ready for inspection before arrival.
• Ensure repairs comply with UPCS.
• Implement preventative maintenance plans.
• Maintain records and reports on maintenance operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations including lead paint and asbestos abatement.
• Document resident complaints and owner damage claims and communicate results.
• Follow safety and security procedures.
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls.
• Adhere to company standards for use of assets.
• Perform other duties to balance workload.
