Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with vocational certification or equivalent training.
• 5 years in building maintenance or construction; trades preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical repairs.
• HVAC EPA Universal certification preferred.
• Ability to supervise others and write scopes of work.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming work orders and prioritize in a timely manner.
• Decide whether to repair or replace damaged property.
• Estimate completion time and materials needed for repairs.
• Coordinate with management to ensure inventory and services meet needs.
• Ensure rental units are ready for inspection; UPCS compliance.
• Implement preventative maintenance plans.
• Document maintenance operations accurately.
• Follow safety procedures and regulations; respond to after-hours calls.
• Balance workload and cover short-term absences as needed.
