Lockheed Martin is seeking a proactive Estimating Lead to oversee proposal preparation, cost modeling, and bid development for government programs in Greenville. You will coordinate cost, schedule, and performance elements with functional departments.

The role requires experience with government contracting, LEAN practices, and 6S audits to improve productivity and efficiency across pricing and estimating functions.

Qualifications

• Experience with estimating, proposal processes and procedures; including Basis of Estimate development.
• Demonstrated experience leading continuous‑improvement initiatives and conducting comprehensive 6S work‑area audits.
• Generally has 3+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Project).
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
• Oversees the Greenville Site 6S process and procedure and performs monthly 6S audits.
• Coordinate and plan hangar‑utilization activities for current and upcoming programs; advise on occupancy strategies.
• Develops, plans & schedules proposals in accordance with FAR/DFARS and govt. regulations; leads cost modeling and bid/price development.
