Job summary

W.E. O'Neil Construction in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Project Superintendent to lead all field activities on one or more high‑profile projects.

You will supervise daily operations, mentor Project Superintendents and field staff, and coordinate subs, vendors and owner representatives to keep projects on schedule and within budget. By providing strong site safety programs, quality control, and proactive communication with the Project Manager, you will drive project success from mobilization

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in CM/Engineering/Architecture or 10–15 years field experience.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project or P6 Scheduling Software and Project Management Software such as Prolog, Viewpoint, CMiC; familiarity with Bluebeam, Plan Grid, BIM 360 Glue.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a project budget of $150M+ and lead on-site administration across multiple teams.
• Coordinate and manage field inspections and testing; oversee subcontractors and vendors.
• Assist PM in scope development for bids and change orders; maintain site logistics and safety programs.
• Mentor field staff; conduct performance reviews; ensure timely completion of punch lists and project milestones.
• Prepare weekly time sheets; monitor subcontractor activities; drive risk and cost control.
