Job summary

W.E. O’Neil Construction is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead field activities across projects in Austin, TX.

You will supervise on-site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and mentor the Assistant Project Superintendent and Field Engineers while ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality control. The role requires deep knowledge of construction processes, subcontract management, and the ability to communicate effectively with owners and inspectors.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Safety Course completed.
• Proficient with project scheduling tools (MS Project/Primavera P6).
• Experience with daily software tools like Bluebeam, PlanGrid, BIM 360 Glue.
• Ability to read and enforce subcontracts and change orders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site field activities and coordination of subcontractors and vendors.
• Develop and enforce site safety programs and quality control measures.
• Maintain baseline schedules and 8-week look-ahead plans.
• Mentor and supervise Assistant Project Superintendent and Field Engineers.
• Provide input on cost impacts and document change orders in line with procedures.
