Job summary

MPR Associates is seeking an experienced Project Services Consultant (or Senior Consultant) to lead risk-informed development, planning, and execution of complex capital projects across nuclear, fossil, renewable power, and government programs.

The role covers PMO delivery, project controls, cost engineering, and independent reviews, leading multi-disciplinary teams and mentoring staff to ensure client objectives are met. Alexandria VA or Salt Lake City UT. Full-time exempt.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Business Administration or other technical disciplines is a strong plus. Candidates without a bachelor’s degree will be considered based on commensurate experience.
• Certifications from AACE International (CCP, CEP, EVP, DRMP) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver PMO support, program development, and independent project reviews for federal, power, and energy sectors.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams in early-stage program development, including justification, alternatives analysis, and baseline development.
• Implement project controls systems, optimize schedules and CPM recovery, develop EVM systems and performance metrics.
• Plan and lead independent project reviews of large-scale capital projects, including cost and schedule assessments, risk analysis, and constructability evaluations.
• Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to communicate findings and recommendations with transparent feedback.
• Plan, lead and mentor multi-disciplinary project teams through the execution of work.
• Review analyses performed by other MPR professionals.
