Job summary

MPR Associates, Inc. seeks an experienced Project Services Consultant to lead risk-informed development, planning, and execution of complex capital projects in energy and government sectors. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, deliver PMO support, and perform independent reviews across DOE, DoD, DHS programs and utilities.

Locations include Salt Lake City or Alexandria; full-time exempt role with travel. Competitive compensation with healthcare, retirement plans, and PTO offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Business Administration or other technical disciplines is a strong plus. Candidates without a bachelor's degree will be considered based on commensurate experience.
• Certifications from AACE International (CCP, CEP, EVP, DRMP) are a plus but not required.
• 5+ years work experience (10+ years for the Senior Consultant) in project management/project controls in power/energy and/or large government programs/capital acquisition projects.
• Experience across multiple project management/control disciplines with emphasis on scheduling, cost estimating, EVM, risk analysis and DOE/DoD guidance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver PMO support, program development, and independent project reviews across federal, power, and energy sectors.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams in early-stage program development including cost/schedule/risk assessments.
• Implement project controls systems, optimize schedules, develop EVM metrics and conduct cost/benefit evaluations.
• Plan and lead independent reviews of large-scale capital projects, including cost estimating and risk analysis.
• Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to communicate findings and provide independent feedback.
• Plan, lead, and mentor teams, and review work performed by other MPR professionals.
