Job summary

MPR Associates seeks an experienced Construction Management Specialist to lead risk-informed project execution for complex commercial and government capital projects in fossil and nuclear power, energy storage, and regulatory environments.

The role requires guiding multi-disciplinary teams, overseeing schedule, cost, risk, and contracts, and mentoring professionals to deliver robust project outcomes. A strong background in earned value, startup, and commissioning is essential.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Advanced degree or professional certifications (PMP, CCM) are a plus but not required.
• Ten or more years' experience in construction management, preferably in the energy and nuclear sectors.
• Strong planning, cost estimation, risk analysis, and schedule management knowledge.
• Experience with startup and commissioning activities and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a steward of the client's resources, providing clear feedback on project status and recommendations to decision makers.
• Plan, lead, and enable multi-disciplinary project teams to support construction management efforts, including coaching and mentoring other professionals.
• Lead client and stakeholder interactions, engaging with contractors and external audiences, communicating conclusions and recommendations.
• Deliver project management expertise to develop and implement project plans, processes, and tools focused on influencing project success.
• Develop periodic reporting strategies for capital projects, identifying meaningful content and formatting.
• Develop mitigating strategies to enhance project execution efficiency or schedule recovery.
• Review work and analyses performed by other MPR professionals.
