Job summary

MPR Associates, Inc. seeks a Construction Management Specialist to lead risk-informed project execution across diverse capital projects including fossil and nuclear facilities.

You will guide cross-functional teams, develop plans, and communicate critical status to clients and stakeholders. Candidates should bring 10+ years in construction management, strong controls and scheduling expertise, and familiarity with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) or more years’ work experience in construction management, preferably in energy and nuclear sectors.
• Strong planning and management skills with fundamental understanding of construction management principles.
• Familiarity developing project execution plans for complex facilities.
• Expertise in project controls, cost estimation, risk analysis, and schedule management.
• Familiarity with commercial nuclear and fossil power generation facilities and government (DOE) facilities.
• Experience with contract management strategies and vendor oversight across various contracting approaches.
• Experience in claims avoidance and mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as steward of the client’s resources with independent feedback to decision makers.
• Plan, lead, and enable multi-disciplinary project teams for construction management.
• Lead client and stakeholder interactions, engaging with contractors and external audiences.
• Deliver project management expertise to develop and implement plans, processes, and tools.
• Develop reporting strategies for capital projects and identify meaningful content.
• Develop mitigating strategies to improve project execution and schedule recovery.
• Review analyses performed by other MPR professionals.
