Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Lead Project Scheduler for Capital Projects to develop and maintain detailed project schedules across electrical capital infrastructure initiatives. The role interfaces with project management, client management, engineering and construction teams to ensure schedule integrity and performance.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of project experience, strong Primavera P6 skills, and aPost-secondary education.

Qualifications

• Proficiency using Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Familiarity with the practical application of project controls.
• 10+ years of project experience.
• Post-secondary graduate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Eager to learn new skills and develop knowledge to add value to the project team.
• Working knowledge in MS Office, with emphasis on advanced Excel/Access.

Responsibilities

• Implement project controls tools and methodology.
• Develop and support schedule requirements per client procedures and best practices.
• Perform critical path analysis and provide schedule insights and corrective actions.
• Support schedule contingency management with key stakeholders.
• Provide regular project updates and report deviations from baseline.
• Proactively manage schedule variances and address deviations.
• Support month-end closing and phase-gate processes.
• Maintain standardized file locations for schedule documents.
• Produce look-ahead, actuals, and schedule quality reports.
• Assemble supporting docs for project team and client requests.
• Analyze data and build reports to support monitoring and decisions.
• Interface with project management to monitor schedule performance.
• Interface with cost analysts to develop time-phased cost forecasts.
• Travel to client offices for coordination meetings if needed.
