Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to lead HVAC design for large-scale facilities and mentor a multidisciplinary team. You will guide Revit/BIM workflows, coordinate with clients, and ensure code compliance across project phases.

The role requires a US-licensed PE, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects with a focus on quality and budget.

Qualifications

• Current PE in the United States required.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Life Safety Codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform and direct complex design of HVAC systems for large-scale buildings.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to designers and engineers.
• Oversee QAQC processes and review shop drawings for code compliance.
• Interface with clients and design team members; attend meetings with budget focus.
• Lead or participate in value engineering sessions with architectural/engineering teams.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and observe construction progress.
