Job summary

Stantec in the United States (Virginia) seeks a Senior Project Manager / Technical Lead – Linear Infrastructure to lead planning, design, and delivery of storm and sanitary sewer conveyance and watermain projects across the Mid‑Atlantic. You will mentor teams, manage budgets and schedules, and win client relationships.

This hybrid role blends in‑office mentoring three days a week with field collaboration, and requires PE licensure, 15+ years of PM experience, and strong leadership in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Environmental, Civil) or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of project management experience in a consulting environment, focused on conveyance and water infrastructure design.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.
• Travel to other offices and project sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design professionals and technicians; mentor and develop high‑performing project teams.
• Perform business development tasks and cultivate client relationships to win projects.
• Develop scope of work, estimates, and proposals with multiple business lines.
• Manage project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule; ensure on‑time delivery.
• Coordinate QA/QC and independent technical reviews on assigned projects.
• Oversee permitting processes and regulatory interactions as needed.
• Develop and implement project management plans; monitor budget, schedule, and objectives.
• Provide leadership across multidisciplinary teams and ensure successful project delivery.
