Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC in Chicago, IL seeks a Senior Project Manager with a valid PE license (or 10+ years SUE/DOT) to lead multi-disciplinary teams on utility projects. Roles span Chicago, Oak Brook, and Geneva, IL, with travel as needed.

You will manage risks, schedules, budgets, proposals, contracts, and client relations while mentoring staff and coordinating with area agencies. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Deltek, and SharePoint is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• PE license required or 10+ years SUE/DOT experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SharePoint and Deltek.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience leading engineering design teams.
• Travel for project needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and direct teams of project managers, engineers, designers, and field personnel on utility systems design and constructability.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare, review, and approve proposals, contracts, and cost estimates.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget; oversee financials and metrics.
• Negotiate revisions with sub-consultants and clients.
• Coordinate with area agencies, municipalities, and governing jurisdictions for approvals.
