HBK Engineering, LLC in Chicago is seeking a Design Lead to perform CAD design in AutoCAD and MicroStation, developing utility plans and electrical designs for construction while coordinating with engineers and staff.

You will review utility records, maintain CAD standards, and mentor junior designers. The role offers leadership opportunities, direct client interface, and path to senior design leadership within HBK’s design track. Travel may be required for field work and client engagements.

Formación

• Associate degree in a related technical field (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in utility design, CAD drafting, and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop design packages.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation for utility projects.
• Review utility records and basemaps to support designs.
• Lead CAD standards maintenance and project files.
• Provide guidance in CAD techniques to team members.
• Coordinate with clients and permitting agencies for permits.
