Job summary

HBK Engineering is seeking a Civil Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) for our Spring, TX, Chicago, Geneva or Oak Brook offices. This senior role focuses on day-to-day management of direct report teams while ensuring project delivery and financial performance.

You’ll lead technical activities, train staff, review scopes and budgets, and drive value across complex utility and infrastructure projects with a strong emphasis on constructability and safety.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required.
• Typically 10+ years of engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop direct report team members through day-to-day oversight and professional development.
• Direct and coordinate technical activities related to project execution and delivery.
• Review project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
• Develop new techniques and/or improved processes, materials, or products.
• Oversee, evaluate, and mentor staff in project execution.
