Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC in Chicago, IL seeks a Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, designers, and field personnel through design, modification, analysis, and constructability of utility systems.

You will develop proposals, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate design activities, mentor staff, and ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery with a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; ABET accreditation preferred.
• CAPM or PMP licensure preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams of engineers, designers, and field personnel involved in design, modification, analysis, and constructability of utility systems.
• Coordinate utility design and relocation efforts for infrastructure owners.
• Prepare, review, and approve proposals, contracts, and cost estimates.
• Lead design phases for all aspects of utility engineering work.
• Ensure installation and operations comply with specifications and client requirements.
• Mentor project coordinators and senior staff; provide team leadership.
• Travel as needed for project requirements and client meetings.
• Manage expenditures to meet budget allocations and financial targets.

Skills

Bachelor's degree in Engineering

CAPM or PMP licensure

5+ years of relevant experience

Strong written and verbal abilities

Ability to work in a team environment

Leadership and mentoring experience

Education
