Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC is seeking a Senior Project Manager for our Underground Transmission team, based in Chicago or Philadelphia. You will lead project managers, engineers, designers, and field staff on 69kV–345kV duct bank, manhole/vault, and cable installations, with travel to multiple sites.

Responsibilities include risk mitigation, budgeting, proposals, and contract management, while ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery across multi-project programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of project management experience.
• 5+ years in underground transmission design.
• PMP certification or PE license preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SharePoint, Deltek, and MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience mentoring staff and working in teams.
• Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
• Familiarity with applicable design standards and codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct teams of PMs, engineers, designers, and field personnel on underground transmission projects.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve engineering/construction issues.
• Prepare, review, and approve proposals, contracts, and cost estimates.
