Job summary

RAMConstruction in San Diego seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction from preconstruction through closeout. You will coordinate the work of the entire construction team to deliver high-quality, on-time projects.

The role requires a strong background in estimating, bidding, value engineering, scheduling and quality control, with excellent communication to keep management informed and teams motivated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience working for a commercial GC.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, print reading, contracting and management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Procore, cost management software, and scheduling software.
• Experience running multiple RAMConstruction core markets projects.
• Excellent listening and communication skills; ability to build team morale.

Responsibilities

• Full project responsibility in all areas of construction and management.
• Perform pre-construction activities including estimating, bidding, value engineering and scheduling.
• Manage project scheduling, updates, schedule management and documentation.
• Ensure project quality control and assurance to meet or exceed plans and codes.
• Handle change order estimating, tracking and commitments.
• Maintain project documentation, submittals, RFIs and procurements schedule.
• Open communication with management.
• Train and develop team members for growth.
• Other duties as required.

• 100%detailed/hands-onknowledgeofprojectscope.
• Experiencewithrunningmultipleprojects,preferablywithinRAMConstruction’scoremarkets.
• Excellentlisteningskillsandstrongcommunicationskills.
• Abilitytocreateandsupportteammorale.
