Job summary

Ultimate USA Transportation Equipment Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to independently manage and coordinate customer projects, lead cross-functional teams, and collaborate with engineering, purchasing, production, and logistics teams.

The role requires strong communication skills and a willingness to travel. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in project management in mechanical or railway vehicle contexts, knowledge of ERP systems, and business-fluent English.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in mechanical engineering, plant engineering or railway vehicle manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Structured, independent and solution-oriented way of working.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Business Central) and MS Office.
• Business-fluent English skills; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Independent management and coordination of customer projects.
• Planning, monitoring and coordination of schedules, budgets and milestones.
• Functional leadership of interdisciplinary project teams; collaboration with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Logistics and Austrian site departments.
• Support and communication with customers, including project meetings and presentations.
• Coordination of change management, approvals, acceptances and type testing.
• Support with quotations, documentation and First Article Inspection (FAI).
