Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager for heavy industrial power projects. You will define scope, schedule, budgets, and lead cross-functional teams through design, procurement, and construction to meet client expectations.

Responsibilities include cost control, client billing, risk management, change control, stakeholder communication, and mentoring junior PMs. Travel is limited to 10% or less and you will coordinate with engineering and construction managers to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Thirteen (13) or more years of relevant work experience.
• PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list)

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures and budgets, gaining concurrence from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and profitability.
• Prepares client billings and ensures timely payments; approves subcontractor invoices.
• Monitors project status and escalates risks as needed.
• Manages change using established change protocols.
• Communicates deadlines and objectives to project teams.
• Prepares overall project schedule and in-house budgets by group.
• Facilitates meetings with stakeholders.
• Provides guidance to engineering disciplines on code reviews.
• Coordinates submittals to agencies.
• Coordinates and monitors technical work of tasks/deliverables.
• Reviews project documents and progress toward deliverables.
• Prepares and distributes contract modifications and addenda.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
• Travel: 10% or less.
