Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with significant heavy industrial power/Power Plant experience. You will develop project definitions, schedules and budgets, and manage costs, invoicing, and client relations to ensure profitability.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, 13+ years of relevant experience, and PMP/CCM/DBIA certification within 12 months of hire. Travel is typically 10% with on-site work in project locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 13+ years of relevant work experience.
• PMP, CCM or DBIA certification required within 12 months of hire or listing on approved PM list.
• Significant design-build/EPC experience with heavy industrial power / power plant clients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets and objectives for projects.
• Prepares statements of work with work breakdown structures and gains stakeholder concurrence.
• Manages project costs to ensure profitability and timely client billing.
• Reviews subcontractor/vendor invoices and ensures timely payments.
• Monitors project risks and escalates as appropriate.
• Coordinates with engineering for design change notices and permits.
• Prepares monthly reports, bid packages and addendums; maintains contract documents.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers; supports pre-bid meetings and closeout sessions.
