CDM Smith seeks an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with significant heavy industrial power/ power plant experience. You will define projects, manage budgets, schedules, and client billings while coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include risk management, change control, and ensuring profitability. Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills are essential, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Thirteen years of relevant work experience or more.
• PMP/CCM/DBIA certification required within 12 months of hire or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Create project definitions, schedules, budgets and objectives.
• Prepare detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures and obtain approvals.
• Manage project costs and profitability.
• Prepare client billings and ensure timely payments; review subcontractor/vendor invoices for timely payments.
• Monitor project status and escalate risks as needed.
• Manage changes using formal change management processes.
• Communicate deadlines, assignments and objectives to project teams.
• Develop overall project schedules and in-house construction budgets by group.
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders.
• Support engineering during code reviews and issue resolution.
• Coordinate submittals to agencies.
• Prepare and distribute contract modifications and addendums.
• Mentor less experienced Project Managers.
• Travel up to 10% or less.
