Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with extensive heavy industrial power experience. You will define scope, create schedules, manage budgets, and control project costs while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

You will mentor junior PMs, oversee bid packages, and ensure on-time delivery within profit targets. Travel is 10% or less, with emphasis on cross-discipline collaboration and quality execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Thirteen (13) or more years of relevant work experience.
• PMI, CCM or DBIA certification within 12 months of hire or promotion.
• Significant design-build/EPC experience with heavy industrial power/power plant clients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures and budgets; gains approval.
• Manages project costs and profitability.
• Prepares and reviews client billings; ensures timely payments and approves subcontractor invoices.
• Monitors project status and escalates risks as needed.
• Manages scope changes using change management processes.
• Communicates deadlines and assigns tasks to the project team.
• Develops overall project schedule and budgets by group.
