Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with heavy industrial power plant expertise to lead complex projects from definition through closeout. You will craft schedules, budgets, and objectives, guiding multi-disciplinary teams and coordinating with stakeholders.

You will manage costs, ensure profitability, handle billing, and supervise change control, risk management, and reporting efforts across projects.Leadership and client communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 13+ years of PM experience.
• PM certification (PMP/CCM/DBIA) required within 12 months of hire.
• Significant design-build/EPC experience with heavy industrial power plants.

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures and gains concurrence from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and ensures profitability.
• Prepares and reviews client billings and tracks payments; reviews subcontractor invoices.
• Monitors project status, risks, and change management processes.
• Clearly communicates deadlines, assignments, and objectives to the project team.
• Prepares monthly reports, bid packages, addendums, and closeout materials.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
