Job summary

AEP is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex projects, provide direction, and drive cross-functional coordination across a matrix team. You will ensure safe delivery, manage budgets, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to maximize customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes process improvement and mentorship of junior PMs. Requires strong experience in project management within utilities or IT systems, adoption of Waterfall/Agile, and a state driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with five (5) years of qualified project management experience; or Associate's with seven (7) years; or HS diploma with nine (9) years.
• PMP certification is preferred but not required.
• Valid state driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and supervise assigned project activities using Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
• Ensure safe working environment and adherence to the AEP System Safety Process.
• Develop and manage project/outage plan, schedule, and budget; control costs and reallocate funding.
• Communicate project details and status; lead meetings and produce reports.
