Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead base through complex projects in a matrix environment. You will provide leadership, direction, and coordination to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects safely and efficiently, ensuring value delivery and customer satisfaction.

You will develop project plans, budgets, and schedules, and communicate clearly with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Outage management experience and major construction field experience are preferred.
• Experience in planning, scheduling, cost estimating and contract handling is expected.
• Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile project management approaches is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate assigned project activities.
• Coordinate administrative tasks delegated by the lead PM.
• Act on behalf of the lead PM when unavailable.
• Communicate project details and status updates to stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and staffing.
• Lead planning meetings and updates with stakeholders.
