Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a senior project leader to manage a project team on a large or multiple smaller projects in El Paso, TX. You will coach the team, drive client communications, and partner with management to shape project strategies and schedules.

You will oversee budgets, change orders, and forecasting while presenting proposals to clients and coordinating with internal departments to keep work on schedule.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering, or applicable experience
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in project management
• Expert knowledge of applicable systems design (HVAC, plumbing, etc.), and design engineering aspects
• Excellent verbal and written communication with all levels of employees, clients and general contractors
• Proven ability to manage multiple large, complex projects
• Strong public speaking ability and ability to present proposals to clients
• Strong computer skills including CAD, ERP and Microsoft Office products (Excel)

Responsibilities

• Develops client relationships by providing project status updates to client and leadership.
• Partners with management to develop and implement project strategies; manages budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc.
• Participates in project meetings with internal departments to discuss project schedule and issues as needed.
• Partners with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction of project is on schedule.
• Delegates work and mentors project team; provides coaching and performance feedback as necessary.
