Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a senior project leader to guide multi-team initiatives and drive successful delivery. You will liaison with clients and leadership, shape strategies, and oversee budgets, costs, and change orders to maximize value.

You will lead a large team across engineering disciplines, mentor staff, and participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure project alignment and profitability. This role emphasizes strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering or applicable experience.
• Minimum 12 years of experience, including at least 5 years in people management.
• Mastery knowledge of systems design (HVAC, plumbing) and all design engineering aspects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees, clients and general contractors.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to lead a large team.
• Strong public speaking ability.
• Strong computer skills including CADD, ERP and Microsoft Office products such as Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide project status updates to client and leadership.
• Maintain solid client relationships and source revenue opportunities.
• Develop and implement project strategies.
• Manage budget reports, cost, revenue projections and change orders.
• Participate in project meetings with internal departments.
• Delegate work and mentor project team; provide coaching and feedback.
