Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Project Manager in Texas to lead smaller projects or portions of larger programs, ensuring schedules and deadlines are met and coordinating with internal teams.

You will build client relationships, manage budgets and change orders, mentor project engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to keep scope on track while advancing your career in a leading MEP contractor.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering, or applicable experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience.
• Proven ability to manage small teams.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Strong financial acumen.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Experience managing subcontractors.
• Strong computer skills, including CADD, ERP and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develops client relationships by providing project status updates to client and leadership.
• Manages budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc. for project.
• Participates in project meetings with internal departments.
• Partners with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction of project is on schedule.
• Develops budget analysis reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders and other reports as necessary.
• Delegates work and serves as mentor to Project Engineers.
• Provides coaching and performance feedback as necessary.
