Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large, complex project or multiple smaller ones. You will coach the team, manage budgets and schedules, and serve as the primary client contact. You’ll partner with leadership to set strategy and ensure on-time delivery across departments.

Excellent communication, a background in HVAC/design engineering, and success in presenting proposals to clients are required. This role is on-site and highly collaborative.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering, or applicable experience.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience.
• Expert knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, etc., and design engineering aspects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to engage all levels of staff, clients and general contractors.
• Proven ability to manage multiple larger complex projects.
• Strong public speaking ability.
• Ability to present proposals to clients.
• Strong computer skills, including CADD, ERP and MS Office (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Develops client relationships by providing project status updates to client and leadership.
• Partners with management to develop and implement project strategies.
• Manages budgets, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc.
• Participates in project meetings with internal departments to discuss schedule and issues.
• Partners with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction of project is on schedule.
• Delegates work and mentors the project team; provides coaching and feedback.
