Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation in Lone Tree, Colorado, seeks a Project Manager II to oversee projects of moderate to high complexity, from proposals to closeout. You will assemble teams, assign responsibilities, and manage resources under supervision of a portfolio or program manager.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business or related field and 4+ years in PM, with PMP preferred. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in project management and/or in a related or technical field.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects or a larger project, overseeing all phases from proposal development to project closeout.
• Assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, and identify resources.
• Develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Interface with internal and external customers or field-based employees on technical matters as needed.
• Communicate project status with senior project managers and program managers.
• Track progress against milestones and budgets.
• Prepare reports to keep stakeholders informed of project status.
• Ensure timely completion of projects by developing and adhering to schedules.
• Remain agile and flexible to adapt to frequent changes in project requirements or scope.
