Job summary

Sierra Nevada Company, LLC is seeking a Program Manager I to oversee multiple projects, ensuring customer relationships, cost control, and execution align with business objectives. You will manage programs with budgets up to $20M and supervise staff, serving as the primary customer contact.

The ISR, Aviation, and Security business area delivers end-to-end C4ISR capabilities, with design, integration, testing, training and logistics support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in project or program management in the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) industry.
• 1+ years' experience leading teams made up of 3+ cross functional team members.
• In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience.
• Experience with evaluating and proposing contracts, and with contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Manage all programmatic aspects of multiple assigned projects, focusing on customer relationships, cost, schedule, and technical planning.
• Track and report on project status, technical execution, and overall program performance.
• Supervise program and project staff to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers.
• Coordinate audits and negotiate with project stakeholders to ensure initiatives meet cost, budget, and schedule constraints.
• Support the Program Director and Business Operations in fulfilling responsibilities for the Business Area.
