Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Project Manager II in the Dayton, OH area to lead moderate-visibility projects from proposal through closeout. You will assemble teams, define plans, manage schedules and budgets, and communicate with executives and customers to drive successful delivery.

You will work with a cross‑functional group, apply strong analytical and leadership skills, and adapt to changing requirements in a fast‑paced environment while pursuing a Secret clearance qualification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in project management and/or in a related or technical field.
• In absence of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of related experience is required.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
• Demonstrated experience in managing a complex project with multi-function team.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills & capability to meet schedules.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects or a larger project, overseeing all phases from proposal development to project closeout.
• Assemble project teams, assign individual responsibilities, and identify appropriate resources.
• Develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Interface with internal and external customers or field-based employees on technical matters as needed.
• Communicate project status with senior project managers, functional area managers, or program managers.
• Track progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, and other performance indicators.
• Prepare reports to keep stakeholders informed of project status.
• Ensure timely completion of projects by developing and adhering to schedules.
• Remain agile and flexible to adapt to frequent changes in project requirements or scope.
