Qualifications

  • Proven working experience in Construction Management or related field.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and piping systems, building products, construction details/design, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages and strong computer skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time and project management skills.
  • Ability to work under deadlines, multitask, and manage changing priorities.
  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus and will be required upon hiring.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a construction environment with overhead reach and use ladders, power tools, and hand tools.
  • Flexible domestic travel and 40%+ travel availability.
  • B.S. in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate subcontractor work on site.
  • Ensure construction schedules are met and finished projects meet quality and workmanship standards.
  • Maintain excellent client relationships and project profitability.
  • Manage and coordinate mechanical construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Order materials and equipment, issue subcontracts, develop billings, manage RFIs and change orders, and prepare/review submittals.
  • Keep project team members fully informed of project information.
  • Maintain knowledge of contract/subcontract conditions, work scope, and specifications.
  • Anticipate and resolve emerging issues.
  • Establish project cost control centers for equipment, materials, labor, subcontracts, and miscellaneous costs.
  • Manage large jobs with minimal supervision.
  • Procure and manage subcontractors and equipment vendors.
  • Regularly inspect jobsites for contract compliance, workmanship, and safety.
  • Complete assigned projects on time and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with customers, building owners, subcontractors, and field support staff.
  • Work outside normal hours/weekends as required.
  • Travel domestically as needed.
