Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate subcontractor work on construction sites in the Atlanta area. You will manage mechanical projects from conception to completion, coordinate RFIs and change orders, and ensure timely delivery with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management or equivalent.
  • Proven working experience in Construction Management or related field.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and piping systems, building products, construction details/design, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages and strong computer skills.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Ability to work under deadlines, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus and will be required upon hiring.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
  • Ability to travel domestically 40%+.

Responsibilities

  • Order materials and equipment, issue subcontracts, develop billings, manage RFIs and change orders, and prepare/review submittals.
  • Ensure project team members are fully informed of project details.
  • Maintain working knowledge of project general conditions, scope, specifications, and contracts/subcontracts.
  • Anticipate and resolve issues before they become problems.
  • Establish project cost-control centers for equipment, materials, labor, subcontracts, and miscellaneous costs.
  • Manage large jobs with minimal supervision.
  • Procure and manage subcontractors and equipment vendors.
  • Inspect jobsites for contract compliance, workmanship, and safety.
  • Complete assigned projects on time and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with customers, building owners, subcontractors, and field support staff.
  • Uphold NDBS core values and safety standards.

Job description

  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus and will be required upon hiring
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a construction environment with overhead reach and use step ladders, extension ladders, power tools, and hand tools
  • Ability to travel domestically 40%+
  • Ability to work outside normal hours and weekends as required
