Job summary

The position reports to the PMO Manager, offers a 40-hour work week, and includes oversight of project plans, staffing, and deliverables from start to finish. Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with ten years of progressive project management experience.
• PMP certification or equivalent.
• Experience managing large teams toward complex goals.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Strong verbal/written communication.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain project work plans and resource estimates; monitor milestones and budget.
• Develop generalized cost estimates; manage expenditures per budgets.
• Negotiate resources with managers and directors to meet objectives and timelines.
• Coordinate with project staff to ensure understanding and progress.
• Prepare all project-related products and tasks (reports, analyses, presentations, graphics, tables).
• Serve as day-to-day liaison to client or funder; provide progress reports.
• Support PMO leadership to develop project management standards and tools.
• Act as proposal Project Manager during proposal phase and ensure requirements are met.
• Provide mentorship to project coordinators and associates; support other project managers.
• Manage diverse projects across programs and funding sources.
