American Electric Power (PSO focus) seeks a senior Project Manager Staff to lead complex EPC/CCGT initiatives. The role drives planning, execution and governance across matrix teams, ensuring safety, cost control, and stakeholder alignment.

Expect strong communication, risk management and accountability for project results from start to finish. Base salaries range from six figures; relocation and advanced certifications are valued.

Qualifications

• Education and extensive PM experience across multiple projects.
• Mastery in project management, cost estimating, controls and scheduling.
• Experience in utilities or critical infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• PMP certification required unless waiver is approved.

Responsabilités

• Plan, direct and coordinate project activities using PM principles (Waterfall/Agile).
• Ensure safety and Zero Harm according to AEP standards.
• Develop, review and coordinate project plan, schedule and budget.
• Communicate status updates and prepare stakeholder presentations.
• Foster relationships with internal/external customers, vendors and partners.
• Provide guidance and training to improve processes, schedules and costs.
• Maintain project alignment with AEP PM standards and frameworks.
• Represent AEP with customers, regulators and partners as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement and assess project risks and priorities.
• Coordinate work across various locations and project teams.
