American Electric Power is seeking an experienced Project Manager Staff to lead complex programs in a matrix environment. You will plan, direct, and oversee projects with emphasis on safety, cost control, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires mastery of project management practices, strong leadership, and proactive risk management across multiple teams and external partners. On-site roles in NY are common with travel expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Computer Science or related field depending on business unit requirements with ten (10) years qualified experience.
• Associate’s degree with twelve (12) years of qualified experience.
• High School Diploma/GED with fourteen (14) years of qualified experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage assigned project activities with expert level proficiency in all aspects.
• Use Waterfall and Agile methodologies for project management across the organization.
• Develop and coordinate project plans, schedules, budgets, tools and staff; communicate status and impact clearly to stakeholders.
