Job summary

Power Contracting LLC seeks a Senior Project Manager (SPM) to provide project management leadership for medium to large electric substation, transmission, distribution, and communications projects. You will be the single point of accountability for planning, execution and closeout, managing scope, schedule, cost, safety and quality.

The role emphasizes client relationship management, risk control, and adherence to PMBOK.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years in the utility industry with proven PM experience.
PMP Certification required.
Strong knowledge of PM fundamentals and engineering principles.
Proficiency with MS Office including MS Project and Primavera.
Excellent written and oral communication; ability to present to large groups.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Coaching and mentoring of other project management professionals.
Management of the project in accordance with Pike Engineering Policies and Procedures.
Management of the client and project stakeholders, ensuring effective business relationships.
Contract negotiation, change orders, submittals and subcontractor administration.
Effective change control and risk management processes.
EH&S and Quality programs appropriate for the project.
Thorough estimates and proposals.
Provide feedback to management and project team members.
Project reporting and status for the project team and client.
Accurate project financials with backup for SOX requirements.
Ensure profitability and cash flow; accurate invoicing.
