AMERICAN ELECTRIC POWER (AEP) is seeking a Senior Project Manager for New Generation Construction Utility Projects in Charleston, WV. The role leads high-complexity projects within a matrix team, guiding planning, execution, monitoring and closure with a focus on safety, cost control and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include developing project plans, budgets and schedules, leading planning meetings, and communicating status to all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of qualified experience or equivalent.
• PMP certification required for this position unless waiver is approved by leadership.
• Valid state driver's license and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage assigned project activities with expert level proficiency.
• Use Waterfall and Agile methodologies for project management across the organization.
• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, tools and staff.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders with detailed presentations and reports.
• Develop relationships with internal and external customers, contractors, vendors and suppliers to ensure satisfaction.
